Creating a buy-now option for after the auction:
In the sale set up (or edit sale) screen:
Under post sale:
* select "yes" to buy-now for unsold lots
* specify the buy-now price, as a percentage of the low estimate. Tandem will offer the item at this percentage of the low estimate, or at reserve - whichever is higher
* enter the date and time when the buy-now option will no longer be offered
* if you wish to offer buy-now at a different buyers premium, key in your preferred buyers premium into the override box
You can override the buy-now formula for an individual item by editing the item
After the auction closes, items with no bids that have a low estimate or reserve will be offered to buy now.
The catalogue updates so that registered buyers can click to buy now for these items - footer is depicted in yellow. When a bidder chooses to "buy now", they become the successful bidder in the auction and the usual processes apply.
Note that buy now is a first come first served process (there are no extensions or anti-sniping mechanisms)
