To set up a private tender auction, select "private tender" as your auction type in the sale setup (edit sale) screen.
Registered bidders will see the usual catalogue view with visibility of their own bids, and can click through to leave or update a bid. To remove a bid, they update their bid to $0.
After the tender has closed, navigate to the sale and to the process tab.
Here you can create a PDF tender report and you can batch process the tenders.
Tender report:
The tender report allows you to view a list of tenders for all lots, or for those lots that have received bids.
The report is also configurable to show you all tenders, or a specified number of tenders per lot for your review.
Where two bids are the same amount, Tandem will list the earlier bid as the winning bid of the two.
Tenders are not automatically processed, in order to allow time for the auction house to review all tenders and key any postal tenders.
When you are ready, you can batch process tenders. This will take the top tender for any scheduled lot and sell to them if the lot is above reserve, or make it subject if it is below reserve.
IMPORTANT TIP: If for any reason you wish to accept a tender that is not the top tender, process this individually before completing the batch so the lot's status changes from "scheduled".
